BLUESPEC JOINS XILINX ESL INITIATIVE

– Will Work Cooperatively to Advance FPGA Designer Productivity with ESL Synthesis –

Waltham, Mass. – March 13, 2006– Bluespec Inc., developer of the only ESL synthesis toolset for control logic and complex datapaths in chip design, has joined the Xilinx, Inc. ESL for FPGA Initiative.

Xilinx and Bluespec will work cooperatively to advance field programmable gate array (FPGA) designer productivity through the use of its electronic system level (ESL) synthesis software. The companies will collaborate to improve the value of ESL software with better quality of results, integration of their existing environments and tool interoperability for implementing designs on Xilinx FPGAs.

The Xilinx ESL Initiative was created to expand awareness for this new high-level design methodology within the FPGA community and to promote the benefits of utilizing ESL tools to target programmable hardware implementations.
