Munich Germany - DATE 2008 - Rishiyur S. Nikhil, Bluespec CTO will present “Bluespec: General-purpose High-Level Synthesis Using Parallel Atomic Transactions” at the workshop entitled “The New Wave of High-Level Synthesis”.
Dr. Nikhil will present during session 4, “The Future of High-Level Synthesis”, at 14:45-16:45 on Friday, March 14, in room 03 at the ICM in Munich, Germany.

At our booth, we showed the following:

• A HW/SW co-emulation on an EVE emulation platform leveraging Bluespec synthesizable transactors, models and designs communicating with host-based software. The hardware system is built around an AXI bus implementation, with different models and implementations connected to the host with transactors.

Nice, France - DATE 2007 - Bluespec exhibited at DATE in booth R38 (Rhodes Level 2).
At our booth, we showed the following:
• An FPGA demonstration of an H.264 video decoder that was designed in only nine man-months – and was designed with half the lines of code of a pure C-based implementation.
• A HW/SW co-simulation on an EVE emulation/acceleration platform leveraging Bluespec synthesizable transactors, models and designs communicating with host-based software. The hardware system is built around an AXI switch implementation, with different models and implementations connected to the host with transactors.
At the Exhibition Theatre on the show floor at noon on Tuesday, April 17th:
• Gert-Jan Tromp of Dizain-Sync presented his experiences using Bluespec ESL Synthesis to design and synthesize a 1 GHz 130 nm multi-port DDR2 memory controller.

Bangalore, India - ESLD 2007 - Bluespec's executives made multiple presentations at this conference focused on ESL design.
Bluespec founder and CTO, Rishiyur S. Nikhil made a presentation entitled "Design by Refinement" which covers an ESL technique which starts at an executable specification and successively refines the design into implementation. This will be at 10:30A on the morning of January 11th.
Bluespec VP of Engineering, Charlie Hauck, presented "Automated Fine Grain Low Power Design Techniques". This will be at 11:30A on the morning of January 11th.
At 4:30P on January 12th, Bluespec CEO Shiv Tasker moderated a panel entitled "ESLD in India: Opportunities and Challenges".

This tutorial introduced new technologies and advanced techniques to cope with the complexity of designing modern digital chips which, increasingly, are complete systems containing multiple processors, complex IP blocks and high-speed buses and interconnection networks.
On February 8th at 9am, George Harper was a panelist at the Management Forum Panel: Make Technical On-Line Marketing Truly “Technical” –– From Tactics to Strategy: What Works and What Doesn’t? which is being chaired by Ed Y. Zhang, Hometown Innovation Automation Inc.

Bangalore, India - ESLD Workshop 2006 - Bluespec continued its high profile in India in 2006 as its executives presented keynote presentations at the Electronic System Level Design Workshop 2006 held January 9-10 in Bangalore.
Bluespec Founder Professor Arvind of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology discussed “How Future Systems may be Designed” as the opening keynote January 9. Rishiyur Nikhil, chief technology officer, offered “A Technical Introduction to ESL Design with Bluespec SystemVerilog” at a keynote scheduled for January 10.
Shiv Tasker, chief executive officer, was a featured panelist who will debate “ESL: Dream or Reality?” also held January 10.
